What Information Does This Site Collect?

If you voluntarily sign up to become a member of the Civ Community, this site will record your email address and/or social login along with your name. If you do not wish to supply these items, then you can continue to use the public areas of the Civ Community but will you will not be able to comment on blog items, have access to Idea Sketches area for future books, or receive emails or social posts from the Civ Community as regards book promotions, free offers, release notifications or other community activities.
When members click on a link in one of my emails or fills out a form, the site may record this information (see below how this information is used).
Members may unsubscribe at any time. You may ask for all your data to be deleted at any time.
Giveaways and Contests:
If you enter a giveaway, your name and email address is collected. If you win a physical prize, you will be asked to give your name and physical address.

This website may collect non-personal information about visitors when they interact with the site. This information may include the browser name, means of connection to the site, and other non-identifying information.

How Is the Information Used?
Civ Community members’ names and emails will only be used for receiving notifications from the community including block posts, promotions or other communications from the Civ Community or Bob E. Usner as author of the Civ Series.
Information on which email links are clicked on the most will help the Civ Community and Bob e. Usner choose links that interest readers in future emails.
The Civ Community may use affiliate codes in some of the emails or on the site. For example in links to Civ Series books on Amazon.com or related sites.
Sharing of Personal Information
Member information is never shared with any third party. The only exception is that email addresses may occasionally be used to create lookalike audiences for online marketing. This in no way distributes the emails or signs subscribers up to any other services.
Third-party links
Sometimes the Civ Community will include third-party links through email, social posts or on the website. These sites have their own policies and you should read those before subscribing or purchasing from them.
Security of Information
All information related to members is saved within a WordPress host and only Bob E. Usner can access this information. Should a data breach ever occur, subscribers will be notified within 7 days.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
The Civ Community may update this privacy policy at any time. A notice about such changes will be posted on the blog and within this policy page. You acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility to review this Privacy Policy periodically and become aware of modifications.
